  My family stayed in this filthy hotel for 1 week because it was affordable, close to New York City and other places we wanted to see. Most of the staff were very mean and rolled their eyes when we asked a question. Their breakfast was open 6-10 M-F and 7-11 on the weekends. The breakfast staff became very rude and mean close to the end of each breakfast time, especially if they ran out of an item and it was close to closing time. Upon my departure, I left my brand new ipad in the room and 4 hours after I checked out, I remembered I left it in the room. I called the hotel and the front desk staff member said she could not leave her post and refused to assist me in securing my lost item. I called back a few more times later in the evening to see if she could walk the 100 steps to the room I stayed in to get my ipad that I left behind. Next day I called 3 times and finally was able to speak to someone in charge and she said she would speak to the head of housekeeping and get back to me. She called me back and stated housekeeping did not find it. I asked if there was a procedure for lost items such as an 'incident report' we could file and she said no. As a warning to people who stay at this hotel, they are thieves and there is no recourse for missing items. Beware. Hilton corporation should have a set of standard operating procedures for lost items. Yes, I am aware it's my fault for leaving an item in the room, however, I don't expect someone to be so evil as to take it and not turn it in.
